Craig Allen, Connie Allen and Kit Workman volunteered to man the booth on Sunday afternoon. George discussed the need for a Chapter newsletter to be incorporated into the State website. A newsletter is in the works. George said our Chapter owes for ½ of a TV that was a prize for the Ute Rocky Mountain chapter Casino Night fundraiser. The group approved the expenditure. George reported that the turnout was light. George attended the Hill AFB Quarterly Awards breakfast. He stated that more plates must be ordered, there will be a bill soon. 12. New Business: Kit asked for volunteer bell ringers for the Freedom Foundation-DAR Bell Ringing Ceremony outside the old Base Chapel at the Hill AFB Museum on July 4 th. The volunteers need to be there by 1130am, the bell ringing starts at 1200. Jim reported that the Centennial Park is booked for 25 Sep to hold the Chili Cookoff. Daniel pointed out that the AFA-Utah football game is in SLC that day and the base leadership would attend the game. The group asked Jim to look into rebooking the park for the first weekend of Oct. It was suggested that the event be held off-base. That will be addressed next year but we believe the general public will have little interest. George suggested that the flyer needs a redesign. Jim will work that. George asked the chapter members to start thinking about who will represent the chapter as delegates to the National Convention. For now, he believes that we have 2 chapter delegates and one chapter president delegate allocated. Craig discussed the on-going issue of voting and representation at the National level. Cliff forwarded a motion to donate money or an item for the auction at the National Convention. The membership discussed the idea of a week-end ski package at Park City, motion was tabled until next month. Kit informed the group that Clearfield HS ROTC is holding a fund raising golf tournament on 10 July. The cost is $200/team and they are looking for sponsors and teams. <<Signed>> Jim Aadland Northern Utah Chapter Secretary
